Normally I would be excited. I love the fall season. Beautiful leaves changing color, football games, crisp fall air, Halloween, my birthday. All things I love...usually.
The difference this year: I am turning 30.
I am not the type of person to get all hung up on silly things, especially a number. However, I have to admit that I am so not ready to be 30. And it is coming in 24 days whether I like it or not. My mom has always said that her 30's were her best decade. All of my older friends say it's not a big deal. My husband doesn't seem to mind. I just can't seem to believe them. I don't know what the deal is. Maybe it just seems like time is going too fast. I still feel young (not that thirty is actually old). Where did my twenties go? Wasn't I just in college? Have I really been married for over 6 years? I thought our wedding was just a few months ago. *Sigh*
At least I have these guys to make me appreciate where I am in the span of my life!
Okay, the mission: be on civil terms with "30" by the 25th. Can I do it? I guess I don't really have a choice.
Enough worrying for today. On a more fun birthday note...
HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY, LUKE!

I feel the same way...though I'm only 28. I can remember back when I used to think it would be such a long time until I was 30...until I was "old." It's kind of sobering to think that close to 1/3 of your life is over. Ok, that's depressing. Don't worry...you're young and beautiful. And you have two beautiful children who don't care how old you are.
Your 30's will be wonderful.
We do need to start planning a party though. You know me, I love birthday parties!
I fear I will be exactly like you when I get closer to 30... I am actually not too far behind you. I don't see you as a "30 year old" and on the other hand... 30 year olds don't seem as "old" as they once did.
*sigh*
On another note... I had to catch up on your past couple blogs. LOVE the cart cover! It's perfect! Colby is too cute with that sidewalk chalk! :) Can't wait to hang out tomorrow... :)
Olivia, I also think that I will feel the same when it's my turn. Still four year to go yet, but I already feel like the twentys go by so fast...
But really, don't worry!
You have such joy in life with your family, your 30s will be wonderfull!! :D
(I hope when I hit my 30s I will have cute babies too!)

I completely agree with you about fall! Everything except football, I just don't like sports :) My birthday is this month too so another reason to like it. And you don't look like you'll be 30! You look like maybe you're 28! Does that make you feel better? :) Have a good weekend!
Thirties aren't that bad! Call me for some secrets that I'm not brave enough to post on here. Sit back and cherish each year because it goes by so fast!
It was great to see you guys this weekend! You are such a wonderful mother. The kids are just beautiful and sweet. I wish we could see them more often!
Love ya!
I LIKE your new blog...wish I had enough time even for pleonast! Your kids are adorable..love Chloe's headband look. Great to see pictures of Grace, too -I haven't met her in person yet. Coming from one of those "older" friends, I had trouble with 3-0 too, and to make it easier Keith decided to throw me a party and all the gang was there...maybe YOU should surround yourself with all those who love and suuport you and forget about the numbers! It does get batter after you adjust to the reality, but it took me almost a year to do that, LOL! Relish that you have the energy to keep up with those two wonderful kiddo's, that's what I find myself lacking, now that mine are 6 and 11.
I say, quit your whining! When you are like me and looking at double nickels, then you can whine! Ha! It seems like yesterday I was young and hot. Well at least young. Seriously, in case I forget, which could happen considering my advanced age, have a really wonderful day. Love, Cherrie
