Wait, I thought it was November

I guess Mother Nature has forgotten that Halloween is over and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Isn't November in Illinois supposed to cold and hinting at the wintery weather about to come? Apparently not this year. Today was amazing, perfectly sunny and 75!

I had prepared to have an indoor day, cleaning and working on projects. However we just couldn't turn our backs on the gift of such a beautiful day. So on the spur of the moment I loaded the kids in the Jeep, grabbed my camera and we headed over to the new park near our house. It is such a nice park and literally less than two minutes from our house (I timed it). We will definitely have to go play over there more often.

I decided to try to get a couple of pics of the kids since I have almost none of them together. It is amazingly difficult to get good pictures of a two year old and a six month old at the same time. Oh well.

After making the kids suffer through a picture taking torture session, it was time for the swings. Colby would be happy to live in a swing, so of course he was happy. This was Chloe's first time in a real swing. She seemed to enjoy it too.

Despite Colby's insane love of swinging, his favorite part of this playground was a little surprise under the slides...a "piano." There were metal keys that play a scale like a piano and music on the background to play a few little songs. I tell you what, I have never seen a two year old so in love with all things musical. (You should have seen him in the guitar store the other day!) Anyway, that was where he spent most of his time.

Here is just a pic of Colby from this afternoon that I liked. He is going through a phase right now where he does not want to look at the camera for anything. He will say "cheese" and smile, but will NOT look in the right direction. Half of the time he just ignores me and my camera all together. Now if I could only get a cute picture like this and have it in focus at the same time. Some day...
