Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow...

No, it isn't snowing and I am not obsessing over the cold white stuff. I am singing the song "Snow" from Irving Berlin's White Christmas!

I am a firm believer that the Christmas season does not begin until Friday after Thanksgiving. That is not because I am a scrooge. In fact, those few weeks between turkey day and Christmas morning are my absolute favorite time of the year!!!! I love the sights, the sounds, the activities and most of all the anticipation and the time spent with loved ones. There is just something so magical about it all.

So why am I going on and on about my favorite holiday when I am so strict about not starting the season yet...I bought "White Christmas" tonight! It is my favorite holiday movie by a long shot. The music is best, but so are the costumes and the cheesy dance routines (Choreography? please.) Anyway, I just love it all. I searched high and low last year and could not find the movie in any stores. Well tonight I just happened to see the new holiday movie display at Walmart and they had it! I wouldn't have bought this early, but they only had a couple of copies left. Apparently it is not just my favorite.

So now I am trying to wait patiently for Thanksgiving to come and go and I can forge full force into the most wonderful time of the year!

I'm ready for the holiday season, too! But also trying to hold off until after Thanksgiving. It doesn't help that Walmart is playing Christmas music already!! Everytime I go in there, I want to pick out decorations and put up a tree! I can't wait to spend time with family and eat lots of food!!

LOL...tonight Santa arrives at our mall so we are taking the kids to see the sleigh and reindeer. If the line isn't too long we will wait and the kids can tell Santa what they want. We kick it off early over here. ;)

OOOOOOOOOOOO.... I want to watch it with you! Maybe on one of our "Crafting Tuesdays"! :)

I got sucked into Christmas yesterday too. Conner talked to Santa and rode the train at the mall. Haha! (Hey, at least he actually TALKED to Santa - I didn't say anything about sitting on his lap. :))

I am like you. This is my favorite time of the year. I am pulling my Christmas CD's out today. It is so gloomy out today and some holiday music will brighten up my afternoon I'm sure. I also started making a shopping list for Thanksgiving dinner. Don't worry, I won't forget the squash.
I didn't know that movie was out.
I am quite sure that I will have to get it. I think we should watch it after we eat on Thanksgiving day.
I am so excited about the holidays. I can't wait until all of you are here. Can you just imagine the chaos on Christmas with all the litte ones. Truely my favorite dream come true.
Hugs and Kissex to All!!!

Oh Olivia I hate that it took you this long to find this movie again. I feel like a very bad friend. I'm the one you lent the VHS tape to before you left. :( I meant to give it to Curt when he came down here but forgot. Don't hate me. :(

I hope your having a good week. We just got back from a very humid and hot weekend in St. Marys. It is still in the high 70's down there. ick!
